EXPO / Providing agribusiness, educational and commercial activities and events
Walters State Community College opened the Great Smoky Mountains Expo Center in 1996 to stimulate community and economic development through agribusiness, educational and commercial activities and events. Located in White Pine, Tennessee, the Expo Center attracts tens of thousands of people to the area each year and is a significant force in the economic vitality of upper East Tennessee.
The Expo Center includes a 98,000 square-foot pavilion with a 300′ x 150′ show ring, seating for 3,900 and the Jefferson Federal Conference Room. The Expo Center features the Ray and Barbara Bible Equestrian Center, which is comprised of four horse barns (100 stalls each), a covered warm-up ring that connects to the pavilion and an outdoor ring. The Expo Center also includes a campground for RV’s with 32 parking spaces that include water and electric hookups.
Featuring a total of 408 horse stalls and a brand new 22,000 square-foot covered warm-up ring, the Ray and Barbara Equestrian Complex is host to some the region’s premier horse and livestock events. The Expo Center hosts over 60 events each year, including horse and livestock shows, BMX racing, boat and RV shows, concerts, high school and college graduation ceremonies and rodeos.
